We've confirmed an ESPN report that Texas is going after Virginia Tech sophomore transfer Jalen Hudson. Originally a three-star recruit out of St. Vincent St. Mary in Akron, Ohio, the 6-5 Hudson was granted his full release from Virginia Tech earlier this month. He's regarded as a scoring guard/wing that can shoot it. From what we've heard, he's visiting Florida this weekend then could visit Texas the following weekend if Florida doesn't reel him in. Texas staff has a relationship with him that dates back to high school. He had a couple of big games last season, including 27 points against Louisville and 28 in one of VT's final games against Princeton. Hudson would have to sit out a year.
