Why does he need to redshirt? He isn't playing college football for 5 years which is the only reason to redshirt.

When I say redshirt I don’t mean he can’t play at all. With the new redshirt rules you can play in up to 4 games I believe. But I’m essentially talking about sitting behind Ewers for a year and learning the system for 2024.
