Remember Captain Chris Pate. On this day, 18 years ago in Al Anbar Province, Iraq Chris was killed by an IED. He was on patrol with an Iraqi platoon and two other Marine advisors. The two SSgts were critically wounded in the blast, both men losing their legs. Chris was mortally wounded but still had the presence of mind to call for the react force and medivac before passing away. His actions saved the lives of the other two Marines. He is not forgotten. Chris, we miss you. Semper Fi brother.
