Is it really worth it? In my opinion it's dumb at a place like Texas. We have a great chance of getting in with even one loss on our record while Baylors and TCUs just cannot due to the name and college politics. I'm all for great games but at the end of the day records matter especially in recruiting. I don't wanna play Incarnate Word University but scheduling Notre Dame, UCLA and Cal is beyond dumb. It kills your season before it starts. It's already hard to go through a season undefeated or with a loss having to play Baylor, OU, TCU, Okie State.
Another thing to consider is this joke of a playoff committee and their amnesia of early games since they tend to really formulate their decisions with 3-4 weeks left of the year.
