Former Texas linebacker S’Maje Burrell has signed to play with Trinity Valley Community College, according to a source.
Burrell entered the transfer portal after being suspended indefinitely following a car accident in April that included his teammate T’Vondre Sweat.

The crash happened on April 7 at around 4:41 a.m. in the 13600 block of North Interstate 35 southbound near Howard and Parmer Lane.
Court documents say Sweat was driving a Ford Bronco when it was hit from behind by a 2020 Dodge Charger. The driver of the Charger fled the scene following the crash.
After speaking to witnesses, Austin police determined Burrell was the driver of the Charger.
He is charged with collision involving injury, a third-degree felony.
