I'm not very impressed with Sam's accuracy today. However that is the only thing I saw that was a huge issue.

Did you know Sam has now thrown 114 passes without a INT? Improvement. He is learning how to play smart which Is a huge plus. Now just get the arm under control and keep learning to read to d better and we are fine.

I do not think sam is our future and national championship qb. But I do feel like with our talent he could win a big 12 title. Just keep playing smart

Hes a good kid.....All LONGHORN....but i really believe he cant read a defense. Hard to play QB when you cant decipher a simple cover two or staight man to man. This explains alot with the receivers being on different pages. Now Sam is looking to the sidelines for help figuring out the coverage....its not a comfortable situation to be in for a QB.

I agree but then thought, are the COACHES letting him make his own calls? His own checks? I noticed he looked to the side lines almost every play. I personally think he is being told to look at the coaches for a play call or to stay the same after the D adjust or audibles. Maybe im just being to hopeful though.

wait. how is that improvement? he's not hitting our guys, he's not hitting their guys. seems pretty consistent to me. ;)

He is definitely not an accurate deep ball guy, but his legs are what gives him the advantage over Shane to me. He is learning how to take care of the ball is what impresses me the most this year. He made some costly mistakes last year that cost us about 3 games. We could have been 9-4 last year but as this season progresses it seems to me that he has learned to throw the ball away and live for another down.

it is in fact 128 without an int...not that I am keeping track or anything. Then again watching Sam trying to complete a screen or swing pass makes me realize that he has been instructed to throw the ball where NO ONE can catch it.

I dream of a better world.....one where chickens can cross the road without their motives being questioned and Sam can deliver a pass where the receiver needs it to be delivered so he can do something after the catch....
