Wow that is a sad indictment of our team and our coaches if only Sam was there. Time for Meyers to come in and save our ship.

For the coaches to allow this Bullsh!t social justice crap to continue is beyond the pale. These losers wrote a Demand Letter based on bs leftist lies and we take these clowns serious? I knew once they wrote their little Demand Letter our season was suckville and it is. GTF out of town leftist losers. I would rather lose with players who love our school and State than lose with players who hate our school and State.

WOW! Un F'ng believable! This lies directly at the feet of our woke head coach. I can't imagine the coaches at the top of my list allowing that BS!

I think you missed the point.

Ryan doesn't understand that the culture is the problem. It's greater than the coach, but ya, bring back Charlie if it floats your boat. Ryan loved him some Chuck. Not in a mood to argue with you, please stop.

More mindless dribble from you.

Since you want to attack me though. I’ll just point out that the reason I got labeled a Charlie Strong lover by you and others was because I was one of the few(maybe the only) who said I’d rather keep Charlie if Herman was the best option. The reason was because I wasn’t convinced that hiring someone with basically the same resume as Charlie Strong was the answer. Some of you decided to turn that in to “you just love Charlie. 4 years later looks like I was correct we’re basically in the same spot. Actually we’re worse. The conference isn’t near as good as it was several years ago, and our talent is probably better especially at QB. So no “I didn’t love Charlie” just didn’t see hiring a Charlie clone as the answer. It was obvious and clear Herman was going to be the guy.

Is there any way we can confirm this is real? I'm not saying anyone on here is lying about it, but it's really easy to manipulate photos these days. Can we confirm this somehow?
Because if this photo is real, Tom Herman should be fired and the scholarships should be yanked from 81 guys.

Apparently you missed his point.

I have no clue the point you’re trying to make.
I understood his point. My point is all this other crap the eyes of Texas, social justice, all that only becomes an issue when your losing. Other players at other schools are active in this “movement”. Difference is they are winning.

here is the reality. Texas football is bad because we have made really bad coaching decisions. And our leadership in the athletic department had been non exsistant.

we apparently had a chance to replace Mack with Saban. We screwed that’s up.

we make probably the worst AD hire in college sports history by choosing Patterson over Luck.

he has a choice to hire Strong or James Franklin. He Chooses Strong... Maybe Franklin fails at Texas to but not as bad.

we quickly fire Patterson, but don’t put a real AD in place. We put a place holder alum in place. Who is successful in his line or work and I’m sure a nice man but not an AD(I’m sure he would agree with that)

then we fire Strong but instead of hiring a real AD and then hiring a coach we hire a coach who had the same resume as the guy we just fired but he was in state and just beat OU so that made him great.

then we finally get around to hiring a full tile AD

2 decades of screwing the pooch on every personnel choice we’ve made is why we where we are today. All the other stuff Austin being liberal, the players being active in social justice, who is or isn’t standing for whatever song. All that stuff is just noise

I am so fvcking ashamed. Fire Tom today. Kick the other kids off scholly. These kids have shown exactly who they are as human beings. They are selfish individuals that have been spoiled and catered to and are undeserving of our ot anyone's support in their lifetimes. They can not play, lose or win with dignity. For a coach to allow a team to abandon it's captain to being the lone player to stay and show respect for this school is tantamount to a mutiny. Behead the captain and force the shipmates to all walk the plank.

Agree. It's the culture. I went to UT. There are some people who can't get out of their own way. It's sad. Peace bro..

Tom's seat is warming up, that's for sure. I hope you can him, and bring in another flavor-of-the-month type (e.g. Justin Fuente).

But I think cooler heads will prevail, and that Tom is back for the 2021 season. Too many weird things about this year to pull the trigger on another regime change.

Have you ever coached or played at a high level?

You can focus on one thing at a time. And Texas’ players were and have been focused on other things not football.

I mean how do you not understand this?

Sam is such a class act; even my cow college friends will agree. Sad, but I bet his actions may alienate some of his POS "teammates".

One thing for sure though, Sam should have no problem finding opportunities after graduation.

CDC saved TH from being fired last year. I would argue that it is CDC's seat that is warming. Tom is going to get nuked.

I understand what you are saying I just don’t buy it. This team acts exactly like their head coach. Has for awhile now. Well before this year.

have you ever seen Nick Saban, or Mack Brown taunt the opposing QB? Yeah me either.Maybe the fact that Tom Herman acts that way is the reason Chris Brown thinks it’s ok to “flex“ every time he makes a tackle even if it’s after a 30 yard gain. These undisciplined stupid errors have been going on for the last 10 years, so forgive me if I can’t by that I don’t buy that caring about social justice or whatever is why they are struggling now

I have always said in discussions with "The Woke", that " UT Sports is the only thing I back that emanates in Austin, Texas." If the Football Team doesn't get its head out of its rectum on it's quest for "Wokeness", that can change to "I don't back ANYTHING that emanates in Austin, Texas" real quick.
I am just a High School boy educated man - but I am rather well read. It occurs to me to opine that figures in World History that spoke English have said just about everything we now say in average spoken english conversation.

The Eyes of Texas doesn't have one damn thing to do with something Lee said as a General of the South. It had all to do with something he said to College Students.

Now even a high school boy can look that up in a New York Second ( wonder who said that first...oh my was he or she approved by the present and terminally woke? )

Right now, I will say the only thing I back that emanates in Austin, Texas is Sam Ehlinger.

Now , boys. I can do it! I have given up the Houston Texans for that kneeling stuff during my National Anthem, plus JJ Watt running his mouth- and the Houston Astros because they allowed Dusty Baker to bring that kneeling crap onto them.

I can do it! ....because I AM a well read high School boy and I need no athletic advise about what I believe - no matter how "woke" it is.

Tom Herman and the entire team should apologize to Sam Ehlinger for abandoning him and not singing The Eyes on the field with him. Just flat out wrong and sad!

Just win games. All this other bullshit is irrelevant.
It’s called being part of a team. The team, the team, the team. I’m guessing you’re fine with grade school students opting out of participating in the pledge of allegiance first thing in the morning? On second thought, please don’t respond.

If Urban comes here I’d love for Texas to bring in Tony Elliot the OC for Clemson as the heir apparent. He’s gonna be a good one for someone.

I completely agree with the nonsense that TH is remembered for. Are you under the impression I'm a fan of that crap? Because I'm not. Stuff like that matters. Same as all the other nonsense. Demand letters. Quitting, then coming back, then quitting again. Threatening to quit if you don't get your way.

Caring about and putting all of your focus in something are completely different.

Being in support of social equality is a noble thing, albeit naive. But when you allow it to consume the majority of your psyche, it becomes a problem.

It is evident that TH never set boundaries for all of this stuff and has just let the kids run amuck. They have good intentions I feel, but have not been lead properly.

It matters. Everything matters. Details matter. Focus matters. Pride matters. Principles matter. And it doesn't seem as though Texas have these things...

College sports isn’t about the “team”. Not anymore. Most of these guys show up to college with a goal of getting to the NFL as soon as possible. Even the ones that don’t have a chance think they are going. If a freshman gets beat out in camp he’s transferring, if a player doesn’t get his way he’s transferring. Unless your a coach at a hand full of programs you have your eye on the next job. The coaches that win understand how to combine individual interest with the goals the team has. That’s what you have to do these days.

And for the recored no I don’t care if first graders do the pledge. I have much more important things to worry about day to day and I sure as hell hope you do too
