I am a firm believer that if we didn't have Sam we will have hardly anything and hes gone next yr, he has won more games for us and never flexed his muscles in the end zone, I noticed yesterday he was limping a bit, if he goes down there goes the rest of season, I am sure you 've heard about the one man FB team, well ya seeing it now...he's a winner if I ever saw one, too bad the rest of the team doesn't have his ingredients, if you woulkda put him with a kickass OL and someone who could catch the ball all the time , he would win the Heisman, He's a heart player, not many of those around anymore, just about Style points no more, going into Med tent twice yesterday but I am afraid that if he keeps having to do it himself he's gonna get hurt.....

To be fair, he isn't exactly the most accurate passer beyond 10yds. There were plenty of times our receivers either had a full step on their defender or just flat out wide open and Sam slung it waaaay out of reach.

I've already said Sam is one of my favorite UT quarterbacks of all-time but I know he's not the best at throwing. Yes, our wideouts could use a bit more tar on their gloves as well.

Look I love Sam just as much as you do but let’s be real he just isn’t the most accurate passer. He also lacks pocket awareness. He definitely has a heart of a champion though.

Lots of things will weigh into his decision. Draft projection, coach situation, how this season plays out, & if he likes what's going on within UT or not.
I think he's gone.

I love Sam. My fav qb ever at texas . He has been beat up, shit on, new coach after new coach. Hes given all he can and if hes smart go make some millions backing up a qb in the nfl and leave this dumpster fire .

I believe for him it will be about who is coaching and what that coach tells him his future is. Lets be real, he won't be anything more than a back up in NFL. I've been wrong but I'm not seeing he can start and his style at the NFL level will get him a nice seat on the IR list.
I think it is best for him to move on. We need to let some of the young guys have their turn at the helm. But I'm not ruling out he doesn't return..........
