10-10 thru 20 games is not what anyone likes, including me. It appears to me that Sark is taking a different approach than a lot of newer coaches. Michigan St. USC, Tennessee and several others have had instant success hitting the portal hard,
Sark is bypassing that approach, and is trying to build this roster via recruiting and then adding a few portal players in key spots of need.
so the question becomes do you spend roster spots on veteran portal players who can help immediately, or do you save those spots for recruits that may not contribute for 2 years.
Personally I think Texas would be far better off right now if the staff hit the portal harder the last two years, but would they have sacrificed some long term success?
