Man, when are we going to realize that once you get past Saban, Dabo and Meyer there are no sure things. Yep Sark had personal issues in his early coaching years with USC and UW but he has cleaned his act up enough for Saban to hire him twice. He was rumored to be good enough to be Alabama's HC in Waiting. Not only did Saban trust him to succeed him but Sark was willing to be the coach who follows the GOAT! That means he has been groomed and prepared for the job and he has the balls to take it. But we don't think he is Texas good? WTF? I know we as Texas fans are delusional but if you are in the camp that wanted change, after UFM, who did you think the best option were? Cristobal didn't finish close the season strong, Franklin tanked and Matt Campbell wasn't Texas good. Sark's staff will be crucial as it was CTH's biggest mistake coming in. He hired his boys and not the best available and rainmaker recruiters. So please name 3 coaches that were coming to Texas that are a better higher than Sark? Herman had to go or 2022 recruiting and beyond would have been a disaster. Imagine the recruiting pitch with 3 off the top five Heisman Finalist! Groomed by the GOAT! Mac Jones coached up to a 1st round pick! Thompson/Card, Bijan, Troy, Jake, Whit, Josh Moore, will thrive in his offense in the Little 12. Riley was groomed by Stoops and is killing it! Kirby waited and kept learning waiting for the right job under Saban. Both had ZERO HC experience when hired. Sark has 7 years. Who was going to be a better hire that was actually an option?? I'm listening...
