If you had told me Jeremiah Smith would have 1 catch for 3 yards I would have thought we won by 20

the game came down to 2 dumb ass plays....the screen before half..and not putting arch in at first and goal on the 1. game should have been 28-14 and again we fvck ourselves.

Recurring theme. Sark and PK have to get better (as play callers) just the same as the players have to get better. Both of them have bone head play calls at the absolute WORST time and it is a killer.

They are very good coaches so please don't misunderstand what I'm saying, but they are B+ and that isn't good enough.

Stupidest play calls I ever seen first and goal from the one ! Pathetic period !!!!
Jesus guys....what did you want to happen? He could not bring Arch in because of the non called targeting on him....he was concussed. Staff had taken his helmet from him.

That leaves you to use what you have. Pretty sure there was a set goal line Arch package that couldn't get out of the garage.

I read an article that said Sark was okay with getting backed off the goal line, because he wanted a little more room to get the ball into the end zone. I’m not sure I buy that.

Weak mentality.. He doesn't like to run the ball. It's obvious. I guess having Bijan was a hindrance?

I would have ran up the middle for three straight plays, QB sneak, RB, it doesn’t matter. If they stuff us three times in a row then I would think about throwing to the edge or something. Even though that 2nd down play was a bust we still had two more plays to get it in. A no call holding on Wingo on 3rd and then Williams totally missing the block on 4th gave us no chance. Football….

Not throw a ****ING pitch sweep on 2nd ****ing down.

Or, you know, PA and release the TE (whether Davis or Helm) or both into the EZ. Pick your poison with routes and EZ spots.

Something creative other than, hey let's pull the LT and see if our RB is faster than their two safeties...he wasn't

I did not know that about arch. If so I take back to complaining about him not being in on goal line. But the toss sweep is still dumb af

Sark fumbled. Sark threw the interception.

He sure as **** called that toss sweep bullshit.

He sure as hell as been dog shit in the RZ as a play caller going back to Washington days.

The interception at that point was moot...made no difference in the game tbh.

His route trees are mid. His best plays have been found out. Teams with above average defenses started shooting gaps and/or blitzing on 1st down because he became predictable.

He never adjusted, or at least didn't communicate the proper changes in a way that the players get it.

We will have 10+ guys drafted again. Which will be top 2-3 again probably.

I don't want to hear shit about "it's the players"

And let me say something else...

There is a reason we gave up so many TFL....actually one of the worst in the nation at allowing TFL. And it sure as shit wasn't the talent.

LT and RT will be first rounders. The C will be drafted. The LG might be drafted, FA sign at worst. The RG will be a 2nd or 3rd rounder next year. Both RBs will play in the league. Are they Bijan or Brooks? Of course not, but they are every bit as good as Roschon.

Scheme and mindset are/were the issue. RARELY did we see a straight up A gap or B gap DIVE, FOLD, WRAP, BUCK or whatever you want to call it in your lingo. We ran slow developing plays that tried to confuse gap assignments so we could get home runs. Utterly stupid. The few times we did run quick hitters or at the very least inside zone, we had 4+ yards I would say 75% of the time. But Sark never committed to it.

I know many of you don't like the bubble, but I'm a big fan. We rarely saw that. Against tOSU it was available by their set up...a LOT. I know their safeties are very, VERY good, but I like my chances with Blue, Wingo and Bond from the slot vs. a safety 10-12 yards deep.

A few successful bubbles either makes the D stretch a LB wider, or bring a safety down. Do that and that now opens up either inside zone or counter plays, or you get 1v1 on a CB.

Go hire a damn OC Sark
