Fort Worth All Saints Episcopal LB Luke Brockermeyer took his unofficial visit to Texas today.
Brockermeyer tells me that he was offered a preferred walk-on spot, but no formal scholarship was offered at this time. Technically, he's still committed to Rice, but Brockermeyer tells me he still hasn't come to a final decision.
Also, UT wide receiver target Joshua Moore was supposed to visit Florida State this weekend, but in checking with some FSU reporters, it's unclear if he ever made it in. I don't know yet if that's a good sign for the Longhorns (still checking on specifics), but I don't see any way it could be viewed as a negative. Update: Moore tells me he did in fact make it in for his visit. Not sure why there was so much confusion on the FSU side of things.
A few of you have asked about UT visitors Moro Ojomo and Lawrence Keys ... not much to report there, and I don't want to bombard them while they're on their official visits. As I've said previously, I'd be shocked if Texas didn't emerge from this weekend as the clear leader for Ojomo. Keys still really likes Notre Dame but Texas has a lot to sell there so I'm expecting UT to make a move there as well.
