Sorry if this has already been discussed, but i haven't been on the boards much since the end of the season.
I had heard Texas was at almost 90 guys on the roster at the moment. If you wanted to retain someone like Bert Auburn without burning a scholarship number, couldn't we just use NIL to cover everything a scholarship would entail?
Seems like Texas could stack things in its favor going about things this way. Are there other benefits to a scholarship aside from tuition, room and board?
