In pre-portal era it would've next virtually impossible for @TexasFootball to adequately replace early-round wideouts Xavier Worthy & AD Mitchell with similarly talented and experienced players but that's exactly what @CoachSark was able to do by luring Alabama's top receiver (48-668-4), Isaiah Bond, from Tuscaloosa to Austin.

@seniorbowl watched Bond's all-targets cutup from 2023 and 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚'𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙐𝙏 𝙛𝙖𝙣𝙨 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝘽𝙤𝙣𝙙: Fast & fluid playmaker whose speed is obvious in first couple snaps after you put on tape. Every WR coach I've ever worked with wants guys who can threaten off the line and Bond's ability to collapse a cushion is impressive.

Doubtful he'll blaze a 4.21 at Combine like Worthy did but Bond has type of immediate acceleration to seriously threaten off defenders and get deep like Chiefs' first-rounder did.

@isaiahbond_ aligned primarily in slot at Bama and torched safeties whenever they sent him vertical so that should again be a primary role. He operated heavily out of stacks & bunches last year at Bama so he's still somewhat unproven vs. press & tight-man coverage but we don't have any reservations about him as a route runner because he's got tools to sink, swerve, and separate.

Bottom line, NFL scouts will want to see him create more after-catch this year but Bond gives talented QB @QuinnEwers another electric athlete to work with in his final season.
