Sunday 9:20 p.m. update - I just spoke with WR Lawrence Keys about his visit. He said he and his mother both really enjoyed the visit and the race between Notre Dame and Texas has "balanced out." Right now, he said both teams are tied and he's no longer leaning to Notre Dame. He wants to make a decision on National Signing Day.

Full report in the morning but Texas did a good job of closing the gap here, as expected.

It's been a very quiet Sunday, which wasn't totally unexpected with Texas having only two official visitors, one of which (Moro Ojomo) doesn't do many interviews.

I'll try to track down an update on Ojomo, but Texas was in a good spot coming into this weekend and there's no reason to think that UT did anything but solidify it's standing with this visit. Ojomo does have a visit to Oregon scheduled for next week. I've also heard A&M is trying to get him to sub in a trip to College Station for the Oregon trip, basically telling Ojomo since it's highly unlikely he goes to Oregon he'd be better served to give the Aggies a good look.

I believe wide receiver Lawrence Keys will wrap up his visit either tonight or possibly even in the morning. I haven't pinned down the specifics of his itinerary, but the good news is that I'm supposed to talk to Keys once his visit concludes. This one is pretty much a Texas-Notre Dame battle. The Irish had a slight lead coming into the weekend but with Texas' need at slot receiver, I expect this one to be a close race to the finish.

Texas did host Fort Worth All Saints Episcopal linebacker Luke Brockermeyer on an unofficial visit on Saturday. Brockermeyer, son of former Longhorn all-American OL Blake Brockermeyer, told me tonight the visit went great. He did not receive a scholarship offer and he doesn't expect that to change, but told me he's really torn between walking on at Texas or accepting a scholarship offer at another school like Rice (where he's currently committed) or Oregon State. Brockermeyer is hoping to have a final decision by the end of the week. I'll have a more detailed report on him in the morning.

Rice grad transfer OL Calvin Anderson has finished up his Michigan visit. I still think that one will fall UT's way, but Michigan is hanging around, as are a few others like OU and Auburn. It's possible Anderson takes one more visit, but at last check, that was still undecided. Based on my communication with Anderson, anything other than Texas would be a surprise with this one.

Texas also hosted deep snapper Justin Mader on an unofficial visit on Saturday, which is somewhat interesting since UT already has long snapper Grayson Yeager set to be in this class as a walk-on.

Miami did an in-home with Keondre Coburn tonight, including head coach Mark Richt. That's worth watching since Coburn took an official visit there last week, but I haven't heard anything that makes me think Texas won't hang onto his commitment. It'll be interesting to see if he visits anywhere next weekend.

Last, but not least, this tweet from Bryan Carrington, which would indicate Texas has some good news on the horizon ...
