Sharp's response to Chip

I'm not even going to get into the argument over who is wrong. The glaring problem for Sharp in this scenario is that he is the head of the entire university system, responding to a radio host and website owner/contributor. Sharp literally reverted to name calling and poop jokes. This is the top of the A&M brass, who should not even be responding to this sort of thing, and not only does he respond, he responds with low brow antics.
Are Aggies concerned at all that their top man just embarrassed their university? Not at all. They are even pretending that "cow chip" is funny! This sort of thing would get you booed off of any sports blog in the country, but Aggies are chuckling at this as if it were clever and devastating.
Probably the best (worst?) of all of this...Chip Brown wins. He gets tons of attention, clicks, etc, thanks to this clown, which was the whole point of the article in the first place.

This will not turn out well for him, does he think someone like Chip will not write another article attacking him because he called him out. Um, no. Some of the answers were a straw man that Sharp set up and refuted. Chip never once said the Sharp met with Kyler but that was one of the things Sharp is refuting,

That was actually very stupid on his part. He has put very specific claims in writing and now I guarantee you A&M is being flooded with open records requests. Those records requests do t happen if he doesn't put the article in the chronicle. If it turns out that A&M has taken any money from the general fund, for instance, to account for the "cash in hand" that was pledged by donors, he looks like a liar and it will cause all kinds of concern.

A Chancellor should never get publicly involved in name calling, warranted or not. There are many lesser prestigious positions and personnel that should and usually do take care of the fighting for you in cases like these.

As for Chip's hit and misses......he's a journalist that drives traffic to a paysite for gods sake. They all use sources to offer an insiders take and sometimes it sticks, sometimes misses. You have to take it all with a grain of salt and form your own opinion with what's offered until confirmed or not. Too many people treat it as gospel.

In The latest article, all of chips assertions were in fact incorrect. And again, it was Sharps Office that provided the information.

Personally, it's great to have the actual truth printed so as to form a better, more informed opinion. Is an office assistant regarded as highly as the Chancellor?

Since Chip Brown exclusively and enthusiastically covers UT sports more than a journalist does, he is more likely to have resources for UT news/rumors than a journalist does.
