it’s one of my earliest memories. A man in green fatigues with a steel pot and an m14 (maybe an m1a1).
I asked my dad why was he there and he said “to prevent looting. If you loot you will be shot. “ dad was totally fine with it and Is 100 percent a minority. It had nothing to do with race
proper behavior transcends race
Everyone knew it back then. Anyone from our generation expected it. You just didn’t loot. It was shameful.
I’m not saying it would be right then or today to shoot people looting but that’s where older people are coming from. It was very specific. If you loot you will be shot.
