Not trying to be negative because I love how we ended the season, but does it bother anybody by the antics of the "walk ons" or whoever they are? They have a whole thing going on during the game (I am no t upset at the walk-ons because it has to be TH that allows it). They are huddled around doing a homerun thing, the bench press thing and who knows what else. They are doing a lot of celebrating way before the game is over. This is just not my idea of handling football games like a business trip. Does Saban, who is the gold standard, allow this? Players doing the real work have to remain focused because premature celebrating or festive atmosphere allows them to lower their guard. It has happened to many teams over the years. I may be being too old school so, gently scold me to settle the hell down if you disagree.

Looks a bit highschoolish to me. Would have loved to have seen the look on DKR’s face if it had happened back then... lol.

Would you rather they just sit there like a bump on a log? I have been a Longhorn fan for sixty years and I saw nothing but some young men showing excitement about what was happening on the field. As long as they are not taunting or doing something that is detrimental to what is happening I don't have a problem. They have not had many opportunities to celebrate this season.

They are simply doing what NCAA basketball benches have been doing the last few years--- trying to get on sportscenter for their antics, not because of their play. Remember the monmouth bench?

I doubt they are stupid, maybe a bit inexperienced but not stupid.

You see this with most teams, the walk-on/practice squad types serve as a hype squad. I'm almost certain they are charged by the coaching staff to be high energy excitement all game to keep guys pumped up. Should it be needed or does it work, I dunno. Could it be distracting or go too far, yes.
