Recruits coming out of high school think they are all "NFL" bound in 3 yrs in most cases. If you want to be at Texas but commit elsewhere for any reason, and think that if it ends up less than stellar you can always go back and portal to Texas. Sark and company may not take you as a portal. (already has happened in several cases).
If you take your chance elsewhere you risk injury, off field risks, lack of production so your value falls off & other etc.
Sark has grown up in portal decisions, now only takes productive players in positions of need in most cases.
