A Texas spokesperson confirmed that sophomore DE Derick Roberson is set to transfer. Roberson played sparingly in 2015 (only 91 total snaps on defense per the Deep Dig) as a redshirt freshman. He missed all of spring ball with a reported concussion which was suffered 2 months prior to camp as the result of a car accident. We were told at the end of spring football that Roberson was still not cleared for concussion protocol by the Texas staff. The fox position's two-deep is now clearly Naashon Hughes and Breckyn Hager coming into the summer with true freshman Erick Fowler arriving as well.
