need some perspective from Conservatives here

what is the already split Republican Party argument about relative to the CR on the debt ceiling ?

is the underlying premise that if we shut the country down (Democrats would be doing this not that that matters) over not coming to an agreement with a CR
that somehow the public would blame the Republicans and they don't want that disruption this early in the new administration ?

i find it difficult to understand what the House Republicans are doing by agreeing with a minority of legislators (House). Can they not send a dominating set of budget demands to the Senate and let the current Democrat Senate majority be forced to explain why they didn't pass the proposed budget ?

I think the majority of the public would not object to shutting down this useless body ...did we not just have an election?

somebody help..need a 30,000 ' perspective
