Was out for a walk today on some property in Rockwall Ranch and happened upon a Copperhead that was sunning himself and was a little sluggish. Watch your feet out there gentlemen.

Seen a few here as well couple if dead ones in the street.

Now, I’m usually seeing and killing about 10 snakes a year at my place but so far I’m haven’t seen 1. I’m due for a run in with a western diamondback any day now

In the street? Sounds like yours are a little sluggish as well and not making it across the road before traffic arrives.

yeah we got baby turtles getting ran over too. I’ll see if I can find some freshies later today during my walk.

I haven’t had to kill any snakes in a long time but 12 years ago I killed two cotton mouths and they stunk like hell. One was hiding under the rubber seal on the garage door. Sneaky guy luckily he didn’t strike right away.

I’m actually glad I have rattlesnakes over cotton mouths. 90% of the rattlers I’ve killed would rather get away from me, not so much with those cotton mouths as it sounds like you know first hand.
