Strong to get 3rd year....

He fell short in his prediction of not losing 5 again to be sure. That's not a lie though. It's not like he said one thing and duplicitously did another. Wickline didn't work out but he was calling plays in the run game last season. Not a lie. But nice squirrels. Very honest of you.

I see you also still want to ignore how scummy your entire fanbase and coaching staff and administration are for allowing wife beaters on your team over and over.

Here's a tip. $ooners should avoid the topics of ethics, integrity and honesty completely. You're out of your element, Donny. It's like Jenna Jamison talking about the virtues of chastity.

Look Scholz I think you are splitting hairs on the Wickline deal, I mean Texas did have to settle a lawsuit. Fair enough on the 5 loss quote I'm just trying to get under your skin. Again, I don't think Mixon should have been allowed on the team but he is so not much I can do.

So? That means they want it to go away. Doesn't imply guilt. And they have $300K sitting in the petty cash drawer over there.

So says every single one of your boosters, ticket holders, coaches and university employees apparently... Sounds like German citizens circa 1939.

Scholz, Wickline was not the play calling OC like Charlie was trying to make everyone believe. It was a guise to satisfy the OSU contract and also perhaps any naysayers who were skeptical of Watson being brought over to be the play caller. That is common knowledge. Simply put if it wasn't true, UT would not have paid up. IIRC OSU's attorneys wanted a deposition from Swoopes and Charlie and that's when money changed hands correct?

The Wickline situation was embarrassing. I don't know if that was Strong or Patterson, but there is no point in defending it.

This was settled when the new AD took over. Patterson didn't want to pay. Perrin didn't want the distraction.

Umm, yes Wickline was the co-OC and called run plays, blakebellblows. Keep lying about Strong though. You obviously don't understand how lawsuits work either. Will it cost more to fight it and to suffer in PR than to settle it for peanuts? Yeah, but keep calling Charlie Strong a liar with no basis on the Longhorn site to make up for your fanbase's complete lack of morals and ethics. I'm sure that'll work out well for you over here.

Scholz there is absolutely no person on this board that belies Wickline was the play calling OC, nobody. I mean come on. I don't think Charlie is a bad person but even you have to admit that was bad. I was wrong earlier when J said OSU's attorney's wanted a deposition from Swoopes and Strong. I believe they wanted a second deposition from Strong and Patterson along with depositions from Swoopes and 3 members of the football staff. That's when UT decided to settle. And I think it was a good move on their part and saved a lot of embarrassment.

Oh OK so your proof is you don't believe it. Well, that certainly settles it then.

A) Charlie Strong is not a liar. So quit saying that.
and
B) In the future don't stick your chin out so far as an ethically challenged $ooner fan concerning what the benefit of having decent human beings play for our football team is and you won't look so ridiculous. Friendly tip.

I don't know if Watson was calling the plays or not, but the play calling in the Notre Dame game had Watson's finger prints all over them.

I personally think it was pure BS and Strong did lie to the fan base to appease us.

Well then you're calling all of our coaches, admin and players who were deposed in this lawsuit liars as well with no proof then.

Scholz Strong flat out said that Watson had the 'final voice' over the offense when he hired his staff. I'm not making that up I can provide articles with the actual quotes if you need verification. I just looked at one from the DMN dated 9-5-15. Also I could be wrong but I don't think any players were ever deposed as you alluded to in your post above to Wasatch

And that changes a co-OC designation due to Wickline calling plays in the run game? Which was the testimony of numerous people in a court of law?

Keep up the misdirection if you must though. It doesn't change the fact that your football program has no ethics or integrity. Maybe tell your fans to quit making fun of dead OSU Cowboys though. Maybe a touch early for that.

The facts were was more than sufficient to satisfy that sloppy OSU contract. Even so, worth 300k to get rid of the distraction, and UT should have settled or paid for the lawyers from the start.

Hook 'em

Poor message board guys are going to be on suicidal watch if he goes 6 plus a bowl win next year and continues to coach into year four. :) It's highly likely he keeps his job and continues his rebuild should that occur.

So be it, they are all liars. Doesn't matter to me, kids do what they are told, and the coaches in question will all be gone by this time next year.

you are right, I will be :(

TexExSpur would you be satisfied if Strong won 6 games next year being his third year and it was considered improvement?

If I see a competitive team take the field, every week and go 6-6 with some close losses and win a bowl game.......I'll be just fine with a 7 win season in year 3.

I don't think they'll beat ND in the opener, regardless of who is coaching.
