Get ready for this: our team is poorly coached. Our secondary and linebackers have had the confidence coached out of them. The cornerbacks and safeties were giving huge cushions, all game, to a team that was living on QB scrambles and WR screen passes. When we do get to the ball, we can't tackle. And how can we not mention the penalties. First Kst TD should have been a field goal, but a third and one stop was negated by an offsides penalty, the third of that drive. I won't go into the numerous other drive extending penalties, but it's a problem.
We are pretty good on offense, but there are issues. We are too predictable, which shouldn't be a problem what so ever with a team that can pound on the ground or beat you over the top. Instead of having defenses on their heels, they know exactly what we are going to do. We also go ultra conservative when we are behind the chains. Why? We can't rely on our D and we have 50 different weapons to get a big gain. On our first offensive drive, we drive to the 30 with ease. Foreman gets tripped up on a play he was about to break, instead he loses a yard, and the 2nd and eleven play is a run up the middle with Porter. Shane gets sacked on third down, but what looked like was going to be a pass to the sideline, we punt. We did almost exactly the same thing twice in the second half. On one of those drives we ran it on 2nd and 15.
Bottom line, we need a change. The current staff just doesn't do much of anything great, and is very bad in most areas. I know everyone thinks Charlie is a great guy, but for reasons that are too numerous to list here, he's made a talented group look incompetent.
