Super Bowl MVP

I gotta give credit where credit is due. Von Miller deserved it. He was a freaking animal. Great defensive showing.
I agree. Denver's defense won both the AFC Championship and the Superbowl. Manning had zero(IMO) impact on the end result of either game.

Manning rides off into the sunset with two rings making thanksgiving around his house more tolerable when baby bro comes over for turkey.

True that. But if there's any player in the NFL who is beloved it's Peyton Manning. In fact he may be the most beloved athlete in the country. How can you not like him? Obviously Von Miller and Demarcus Ware were the stars, but PM can end his career a SB champion.

And besides the Panthers weren't just cocky they were arrogant and I enjoyed watching them come unglued. I mean Cam Newton didn't even try to recover his fumble he got a huge spoonful of humility tonight. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

F**k Cam Newton. He'll have other opportunities, but I really enjoyed seeing him lose tonight.

In other news, texaggy has had a four-hour-and-counting collective orgasm about Von Miller's performance. I wouldn't put it past those dorks to add something about it to their stadium wall.

The Denver defense & special teams:

1. Scored 1 TD
2. Forced 4 turnovers (1 for a TD & a 2nd inside the 10 yard line)
3. Returned a punt 61 yards, to the 11 yard line
4. Didn't miss a field goal opportunity all night (3/3 for 9 points)

They won this game & the Denver offense was anemic.

Glad Denver's defense gave Peyton another SB ring, I'm sure he hates that his little brother has two and he's the better QB by miles. I actually don't mind Cam's dancing and entertainment but his sulking and pouting crap is tiresome. He needed this and so did the Panthers. It's the NFL and sooner or later your arrogance catches up with you.

That's not a bad idea...I will be in touch with my connections to see if we can get it up on the wall. We might even change the name of Kyle Field to Miller Field.

Right.

3 parts to a football team. Offense, Defense, and Special Teams.

Any one of the 3 can win or lose a game for you.

not a more embarrassing fan base out there. They are filling up their jizz jars dreaming of Von as we speak. But do not forget this is the same crowd that thinks johnny is innocent, that he is being set up by the girl, that he has CTE from football and that is what made him do it. Texags is the best place to go see what a true aggie is all about :) priceless entertainment.

My thoughts:

  • Peyton deserved this. Yes, the Denver D won that game but he's been carrying teams for 2 decades. He's a 5-time MVP who deserved a 2nd ring. Perfect storybook finish. That's the way it was supposed to be.
  • Tom Brady getting booed lustily before the game in that former MVPs ceremony made this day even better
  • Cam Newton showed his lack of character when he wouldn't jump in that pile for his fumble while only down 6 points with the freaking Super Bowl on the line. Denver gets the ball and goes up 2 TDs. Game over. Guy plays for himself. And nice crybaby press conference. Dab that.
  • Congrats to the aggys on their national title.

Along with Miller, congrats to another Aggie - Gary Kubiak was the winning coach. Just which it could've happened in Houston.

I'm really happy for Wade Phillips. He's been in the game so long as his dad was. Really great to see him get a ring and even moreso since his defense delivered it. Just wish it could have happened in Dallas.

I didn't hear about the press conference is that how he acted?

So the aggies are having a prolonged orgasm? Why am I not surprised?

But I gotta admit I would have never in a million years thought that a team could win a SB with an aggie hc and an aggie MVP.

typical aggie trash :) gotta respect the effort but the person is just another dbag

Suspended Denver Broncos Pro Bowl linebacker Von Miller unsuccessfully attempted to corrupt the NFL's drug-testing program with the help of a urine collector before each was caught in a matter that will affect how the NFL's collection testing procedures are done, league sources

I’m not sure how the people at Disney are going to feel about this, but it appears as though this year’s Super Bowl MVP, Von Miller, will not be making the traditional trip to Disney World.

Von Miller played like an absolute animal in Super Bowl 50, recording a total of 6 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles.

It come to no surprise when his name was announced as the 50th MVP in Super Bowl history, and it’s become accustom for the MVP to be given a trip to Disney, along with a car. But no, not for Von.

Miller was straightforward when asked how he’d celebrate the win by CBS’s Tracy Wolfson after the game.

“F*ck Disney World, I’m hitting up the strip joint,” he yelled into the microphone. When asked which club we might find him at, the Broncos linebacker told Wolfson, “All of them. I’ve got plenty of bills to spend on plenty of women. Too much to spend at just one club.”

Miller finished the game with 2.5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles. On his way towards the locker room, cameras caught him giving Peyton Manning a pat on the butt while whispering into his ear, “Your first dance tonight is on me, Sheriff.”

fake story.

I didn't stay up for the interviews but I would think such a quote would make waves beyond the dailysnark whatever that is.

I saw TW interview him and he didn't say that. He really didn't say that much most of the questions were directed at Peyton. PM did say that what he was going to do was drunk a lot of Budweiser and that VM told him it's on me.

Just my opinion, but I think too much is being made of Newton's post game conference. But not enough about how he wanted no part of the late 4th quarter fumble.

As much as he struggled and the Broncos pounded him all day, down 16-10 with like 5 minutes to play, I still thought this would be Newton's moment and he would lead the team to a memorable touchdown drive. But they didn't get a yard. But after the sack-fumble, he just sort of froze (like the Panthers did on that long punt return earlier), and backed off. Had they recovered, they would've punted, and will 2 TOs and 2-minute warning, there was a chance to get the ball back down one score.

I think we're seeing that he's not mature enough as a player and person to make that comeback in a big game. I still think he's going to be a big time QB and possibly win a super bowl but he needs to be a professional not a whiney baby. This is the second time this year I've seen him sulk and pout after a loss. What I can't stand is people sticking up for his attitude, it's ok for him to be celebrating and dabbing while taking pics on the side line. But as soon as he loses and gives the media the silent 4 year old one word at a time treatment it's because he's a competitor. Yeah right! Reminds me of my nephew when he didn't get what he wanted at the store.

Cam's behavior last night only solidified why so many people think he's a world-class douchebag. Being that kind of a person invites karma to give you a huge helping of crow.
I don't think he is a world class douchebag-to me that entail a lot more than just a few celebrations after touchdowns. His on field antics may be annoying, but, from what I know he is a decent person off the field. The only real problem I have had with him is his "Superman" gesture. It annoys me to all end when he and many other college and pro football players do it. I heard a caller on a radio talk show say it perfectly. "Superman is one person doing it all himself. Cam has 10 other players doing their roles that enabled him to make a play. For him to do the Superman gesture is like saying it was all him". I will admit that it was a classless act on how he handled the press after the game. He has been dishing it out in his taunting type behavior and should have been gracious in accepting the loss. Even Superman himself was no match for Denver's defense.

I like what Peyton Manning is all about, but, they have had extremely different upbringings. Peyton was born with a silver spoon and with an amazing father. The sons have had royalty treatment from high school through college and into the pros. They were taught the art of etiquette. By the way, Peyton was less the a good teammate when Osweiler had the starting position.

The news today is that Denver DB Harris was being interviewed in the next curtained off cubicle and was loudly explaining the Denver plan to control Cam Newton and how well it had worked. He can be heard on the Newton interview tape after you know what to listen for. Harris, himself, when told this, said he would have left rather than listen to somebody gleefully recite how badly they had beaten him and he did not blame Newton for doing so.

I would say HAVING to talk to gotcha media types due to NFL rules when you have been that badly beaten, personally, is something I would not do. I'd just ask 'How much?" and send it to the necktie (***rd by me).

I agree. If you're not going to come out and Tom Brady an interview after a loss, better to pay the fine and move on.

So you don't think he could've handled the interview better? Honestly I like Cam as a player so I'm not hating. I just think the interview went south before he even heard Harris. He came in with a pouting face. I'm not saying he should be happy about losing but he needs to learn this is his job and it's gonna happen. He's the face of that organization and leader of the team. He may get back to the superbowl but who knows. if they win I bet he's dabbing all in the interview. Oh well it was hopefully a learning experience for him.

You know it wasn't all Cam Newton. It's one thing to be cocky but the Panthers were arrogant to the point that when they realized that Denver really came to play they lost their composure as a team. I mean it wasn't just CN. I mean they might have set a SB record for penalties. Their offense has been incredible all season but against a great defense, in the biggest game or their lives, they probably go called for at least 5 false starts, and a few more illegal procedures. Then there was the personal fouls, and the pouting about not getting penalties that thought should have been called on Denver as well as what was called on them. Their hc has been on champions and he knows what it takes but once you get on the field it's up to the players not the coach. He sounded like a man who had to watch a team that didn't really have the composite to win it all.
