According to the Public Information Office of the Austin Police Department, Longhorn redshirt freshman Terrell Cuney was arrested for theft by shoplifting on Wednesday afternoon. The arrest happened at 1:20 p.m. at 1020 Norwood Park Boulevard, which is the address of a Wal-Mart Supercenter in north Austin.
The charge is a Class B misdemeanor. Cuney was not taken into custody but was issued a citation and the charge is considered an actual arrest.
A 6-1, 278-pound redshirt freshman, Cuney signed with Texas in 2014 out of Jasper, TX. He's a reserve center for Texas and was expected to compete for third-team duties heading into fall camp, which begins on Friday.
