MUSINGS FROM THE DISCH

The Big 12 regular season is over. Never again will the Horns have to travel to Manhattan, Waco, Lubbock, Lawrence, or any other Big 12 locale.

Now, we move on to a week of anticipation and craziness as conference tournaments kick off. Over the next week, 30 conferences will kick off and finish, ensuring the winners of those conferences make it into the NCAA Tournament. A week of non-stop baseball at all hours of the night and the crazy formats make for some electric baseball. It it the best time of the year as we enter the NCAA Tourney.

For the Horns, they finally get over the line, getting their first Big 12 series sweep of the season to wrap things up, ending with an impressive 9 conference series wins out of the 10 series played. The Horns will not host a Regional due to RPI and Q4 losses, but color me impressed that this team with its flaws was able to get 3rd in conference and win 9 out of 10 series. Up next, the Horns will enter the Big 12 tournament on a win streak and have the opportunity to officially stick the knife in the boys from Lubbock chances of making the NCAA Tournament.

I will have a full preview of the Big 12 Conference Tournament and the matchup against Texas Tech later today.

The Longhorn Network is finally finished - despite your feelings one way or the other, watch the tribute to LHN, it is good stuff.

TEXAS NIL UPDATE

For those that complain about the Horns activity in recruiting the top high prep players and more importantly, kids in the transfer portal, consider donating to the Texas One Fund. There are some outstanding candidates to join the program as Texas enters the SEC and donations are needed. TEXAS ONE FUND
