ALWAYS WIN ON SUNDAY.
In case you missed it, check out the weekend series preview - Houston Weekend Preview
The Horns are currently 21-15 overall and 8-6 in Big 12 play. More concerning, their RPI is currently 72.
Simply put, that isn’t good enough. Not for Texas expectations as a program and certainly not for the NCAA selection committee. The Horns must be better and they must be better in every aspect. That needs to start today as the Horns enter another pivotal series finale. The Horns have only lost one Big 12 series so far, but unfortunately it was to one of the Big 12 worst in BYU. Today, the Horns once again find themselves in a battle against the worst team in the Big 12, Houston. The team has a lot of questions though. What can Texas get from starting pitching, how will the bullpen stand up to a persistent Houston lineup, and can the Horns get the bats going?
