There is no something like that. Barnes literally missed the tourney once in 17 seasons. Penders missed the tourney twice in 10 seasons. Shaka was certainly in danger of matching that total of in just 5 seasons but very well got "saved" by Covid.

He did match it. Last year would have been the third time he missed it if the season continued and Texas got left out.

I meant matched the "3 times" in 27 seasons. right or wrong, last season we can only speculate one way or another. That's why I said he got saved. Had we lost to Tech we would have missed. Had we beat Tech we very well slide in.

I predict that Texas will be worse than a 4 seed. Cause I don't think they will win another game before the tournament in Indiana.

But you’d never know it based on the way some posters on here have reacted to the ebb’s and flow’s of this basketball season. I get it, this team has moments of play that are extremely frustrating. There are times where they look to have fallen back into the style of play that has plagued this team for the previous 2-3 years. But please do not let this cloud your judgement in terms of what appears to have been accomplished so far this year.

This team has an opportunity to do something that very few Texas basketball teams have ever accomplished. When they are on their “A” game this team can play with, and beat, anybody In the country. I know my words fall on mostly deaf ears, but despite the narrative that’s pushed by many posters on here, this has actually been an extremely successful season that has surpassed most people’s expectations. We play in the best basketball conference in the country, and we’re going to easily escape with a +.500 record in conference.

Enjoy the rest of the season, because seasons like this don’t come along often here. That’s a fact. I truly believe this team has an opportunity to do something special come tournament time, despite what many on here believe. HOOK ‘EM!!!
