I used to think that Abe Lemons was the best coach in my lifetime because he won the NIT back in the day. Then Shaka did the same thing, and we were all, meh. Shaka was a winner before he came to Texas, but once he got here, he seemed to forget how to win, or maybe we're just cursed. Chris Beard? Everyone loved Beard, everyone. Then the beatdown that never happened happened, and that plan went to shit.
I don't remember why we fired Barnes; I only remember getting into the tournament consistently with him. I'm not saying that R.T. is the answer; I'm just saying somebody light some incense or something. Put a circle of salt around the men's basketball program. Hire a voodoo lady or a curandero, shyite!
