Texas bball has ditch Beard's half court defense

Interesting....I've noticed that Rodney Terry & staff has pretty much ditched Chris Beard's trademark half court defense.

In case you don't know, Beard is known for a half court defense that emphasizes forcing teams to 1 side, forcing to the baseline leading into quick post help & trap. Last night, Texas Tech was definitely still running this system.

Texas was not. Texas was playing straight up traditional 1 on 1 man defense last night. If someone gets beat 1v1, then the primary help & secondary help all slide over.

Interesting.
