Texas dodged a bullet -- Trey Lmao sentenced to 6 years in prison

Wasn't this a Charlie recruit? Did he pass the core value exam or was Charlie planning on rehabbing him once on campus? I can't remember specifics fill me in?

Nice jab, but, this happened after he was recruited. Charlie did want him as did every other school. Charlie can only hold them accountable for behavior and promises at the time of recruitment. Once enrolled and he or anybody else gets in core value trouble, then, he would be off of the team. Or, he would have bought into Charlie's standards and have a completely different life.

Good thing he did his crime in Cali, at lease there he has a chance of finding a Poly gang he can latch onto.

Exactly.

This one time I met OJ Simpson in a NY airport. Doesn't mean I caused him to become a murderer and should be held liable for his crimes. Nor does it mean I was a fan of the murderer and thought he should get a second chance with no jail time.

Mack recruited the kid. Who knew what he would become? If he had come here, he might have turned out very differently. And if he didn't, I'm confident our staff would have done more than suspend him for a spring practice or RS'd him as punishment. And that might have caused his life to turn out differently.

You can't even hold Les Miles liable for things he has done since Miles booted him. It is what it is. Stoops on line 2 though to give him a second chance.

In the light of the horrible rapes committed by Baylor players, in the light of Oklahoma reinstating a player who was clearly guilty and convicted of striking a coed, you sooners and bears, should be ashamed of not having these core values that coach Strong has implemented. Unless something has been swept under the rug that people don't know about which I seriously doubt, coach Strong has been exemplary in this matter. Even if his tenure is unsuccessful and a change has to be made I myself will be grateful for it. One last thing, because we've had bad fb teams the last couple of years, Baylor and Oklahoma fans have mocked coach Strong's core values the most. What do you people think about core values now?

Think about it, and good lord you are by the worst trash talker on this board. I mean Alfred E. Newman could do better than you.

Question. Why would Ou fans care about any Texas players legal issues, charges, etc.? In return, why do Texas fans care what goes on at Oklahoma in that aspect? I just don't get it

Slow your roll OUinCali, Strong was a quick divorce settlement away from being known as coach February but for totally different reasons than Mack was. As it turned out, it all went away overnight didn't it? What was that? You may be better off just letting things go without touting the core values, it has a way of coming back in a horrible way. Kind of like someone claiming OJ is innocent because he was acquitted of murder. Just Saying.....

I know you think I understood what you just said, but I am not sure what I just read is what you meant.

I suppose you are above all that nonsense?

I suppose it should not matter to either side or with other school for that matter. Unless I'm the coach, the family of either side or the law enforcement why would any of us care? It doesn't affect us whatsoever

Legal charges against players does not affect ou because the players are not held accountable. The legal issues with players at UT are a big deal because players get kicked off the team for them....

It takes Sooner brains to equate alleged adultery with assault and battery or rape.

Haha hey junior coming from the creator of the core value list, yeah it would be awfully hypocritical. Leave it to you to let that point fly directly over your head. I'm not saying it happened for sure but it sure went away with that divorce settlement and I don't personally know anyone else that has been put in that situation myself.

How so? Explain? As I stated unless the player is your family, you are a coach or law enforcement it doesn't affect you. We are just fans and although we want the team we support to stay law abiding citizens it doesn't really affect us if they don't. The obsession from ANY fan base makes little to no sense

Idk but look up its called rivals. It's interesting to go back and forth and get opinions and insight from rival fans. By the way , stroll on over to any Ou site and you will find more than a handful of Texas posters. I don't name call, cuss or personally attack anyone I'm just enjoying the discussion

I think the guy was asking a rhetorical question. And basically the answer you gave is about the same answer to your own question.

But I'll answer your dumb question. As a grad of UT, I root for my alma matter. And when you play other schools that blatantly color outside the rules, its annoying (NO one except OU uses a RS year as 'punishment'). We aren't making the movie about a prison football team "the longest yard" or whatever it was called. The goal here is to out work the next guy all within the rules to have the best student athletes. Making men on and off the field. When someone skirts some of the rules, it annoys pretty much everyone else that does follow the rules.

When someone cuts in front of you in line, does it bug you? Or only if they are related are you allowed to have an opinion?

Look you horn haters have found the wrong thing to talk about in regards to the UL bor guy. You people have taken that picture of coach Strong and that man's wife and conveniently omitted that Pat Moorer was standing next to that woman. Having been married twice myself, having friends who have gone thru divorces I understand how nasty they can get. That man was throwing all kinds of **** at the wall to see what would stick. In regards to coach Strong nothing did because it never happened.

Wrong again.

Point being, you obviously care what goes on here. I do not bother killing time on an OU board because I don't care what anyone there thinks or says

Why are you here?

Do you care?

Let me guess. Someone here is related to you, right?
