Texas coaches Bryan Carrington and Oscar Giles did an in-home visit with defensive end Daniel Carson last night, and it sounds like the Longhorns could be making a big move with the Missouri prospect.
The 6-5, 270-pound Carson doesn't really do interviews so we're forced to read between the lines some on this one, but consider the following ...
Carson took an official visit to Texas in September and people that spent time with him said that visit went really well and the Longhorns made a strong impression.
Last weekend, Carson took an official visit to Nebraska. There was some thought that Carson might pull the trigger in favor of the Huskers on that trip, but that did not happen. Last night, Nebraska picked up a commitment from another strongside defensive end, Casey Rogers.
Carson tweeted last night that the visit went really well ...
And then you have Carrington tweeting the following from Missouri (slightly before Carson's tweet), ....
Last, but certainly not least, you have Carson's twitter bio. Maybe this has been there for a while, or maybe it's nothing, but I'd assume it's a good sign.
I've got a couple messages out to see if I can gather up more information on this one, including from the Nebraska side, but the signs certainly look good for Texas all of a sudden.
