I got a heads up from his father that this call was taking place this week, but didn't want to jump the gun until the offer was in. It is now official and Texas has extended an offer to Rivals250 TE Luke Ford, the top-ranked 2018 prospect in the state of Illinois. Ford just ended a three-month commitment to Arkansas earlier this month, which was pretty surprising because when I talked with him back in early May he sounded pretty solid with the Razorbacks. Wide open now, though, and I expect Texas to get a strong look here.
