STILLWATER, Okla. - Texas junior running back D'Onta Foreman said he sustained a right abdominal injury during the loss against Oklahoma State, but is optimistic he will be able to play in his team's next game against Oklahoma.
"It was during my run," Foreman said. "When I was running, I felt it. I didn't think it was that bad. I tried to go back out there on the field. Then when I made a move, I felt it. I went to the sideline and tried to do some up-downs, some high knees, and it didn't work. Just got to try to get some treatment in and try to get ready for next week."
Foreman said he experienced a sharp pain after the injury.
However, Foreman said he could not have finished the game against Oklahoma State, even if he did want to get back on the field.
Before I forget, Texas running back Chris Warren was on crutches after sustaining a knee injury. He will likely be examined on Sunday or Monday, depending on the swelling, and we should have more information about him soon.
