Texas-ULM Game Thread

My thoughts about the game so far:
This team looks a lot different than the team last year. I know it’s against ULM but they are playing fast, loose, and with confidence. I don’t think they had a game where they played like this last year.
Defense and OL look much improved.
Bijan is playing lights out. He might be in the Heisman conversation very soon.
I know Ewers missed on some deep throws, but he has an absolute cannon/rocket arm. He throws the football with such ease. He reminds me of Aaron Rogers in that he can just flick the ball so easy and it comes out like a rocket. He makes it look easy. It’s going to be a lot of fun watching Ewers play and develop.
Ewers is as good as advertised/expected. He already looks a lot more talented/better than Casey Thompson and Card. Sark made the right call. Card wouldn’t have done as well in this game. Ewers looks a lot better than basically every Texas QB since Colt McCoy. I think this kid is special.
If this Texas team keeps playing like this for the rest of the year, I think they can win a lot of games.

You can’t expect your line to hold blocks for 5 seconds. He’s indecisive and just stands in the pocket.
you don't have to root against one to support the other. they're both Horns-- hope they're the best 2 qbs in the country.

100%. Every single RB is a home run threat. All 4 would be starters at most schools.
I hope it’s not just fools gold but it looks like the run defense and pass rush might have improved a little bit. Really hard to get a read though against this team. Next week should tell us exactly how far we have to go.
Great game. Texas played as well as we all could have hoped for. They played fast, loose, and confident. I don’t think they’ll beat bama but I think they’ll put up a good fight.

I don’t even know if we will have a good read on this team after next week. We could get blown out 52-10, and still have a 10 win season a few months from now. Bama is just on a different level. We may not know about this team till after the tech game.
Agree with this. Ewers second start in a year and a half is against bama. That’s a tough assignment. I think he plays well but I think he will look better towards the end of the year after he gets more game experience.
