Texas vs Wyoming predictions

That's psychological. It can't be measured. Frankly I never understood it. Even as a child.
Being booed by an opposing crowd during warm-ups was a top 5 erection moment for me. During stretching, going back to Jr High, I purposely stretched as close to the opposing cheerleaders or pom squad, as I could. That's where I learned that telling a female exactly how badly you're going to skull fvck her boyfriend, then going out and doing it-- the primal cave woman in her emerges and her Darwin brain kicks in.

But yes Metcalf-- we do need to create a more imposing home environment.

I'm just not sure a "vegas style Cirque d'solay" light show is the way to go. I guess if the kids like it.......
I was in Brussels a few years back for Xmas and saw the LED light show at "Le Grande Platz" and it (kind of) reminds me of that.

100% psychological. Just the same as playing in front of 5000 fans in November at Kansas can be a drain on energy.

Essentially, if you find motivation from the external you will always perform up to or down to your opponent. If motivation is from the internal, crowd doesn't matter much.

I would not be shocked to see a little bit of post big game let down, but I think we should still win pretty comfortably. It may be just close enough to allow the game day negative nancys out to play a bit, early on.
IMHO Wyoming has our undivided attention, courtesy of Tech. That, coupled with a raucous capacity crowd, lends to a beatdown of the Cowboys. I just don't see how their offense scores more than 10 against our defense unless there is a turnover.

i usually hate "players only meetings" because it means a sinking ship but supposedly Quinn held a players only meeting tuesday morning to basically tell everyone we aint won shit yet.
"Potential--- it's a fancy French word that means you ain't done a fvcking thing yet." <--- Steve McMichael, spring of 1994. UT weight room.

It appears that Oscar Giles is currently an associate head coach there for DT’s and run D. Haven’t heard that name in a while.

That's the score I was thinking but I really think Wyoming can compete with us. I look forward to watching their defense against our offense.

If Texas doesn't play well, then yes, Wyoming can compete with us.

They don't have a single player that can keep up with AD, X, JT, and Whitt. Nobody. They do however have 2 VERY good LBs that will make some plays. Their defense is experienced and could cause some issues for the OL here and there, but we should handle them pretty well.

In the back end, they have a nice free safety, but the other guys are what you would expect from a mid major that will probably win 8 games.

Wyoming is a solid team, slightly better than Rice IMO, who is actually pretty solid.

I think Texas' non-conference is going to prove to be much tougher than originally thought, and the conference slate is going to prove to be much easier than originally thought.

What interests me about Wyoming is they play old school fb. A 4/3 defense and the running game and they've had success with it.

Looking at the remaining schedule I only see Kansas State as someone who can compete with us.

We've seen for too many years this team play down to competition. Until we break that curse I say every game is loseable
We didn't play down to competition we didn't have the talent and certainly not the coaching to beat teams we should have trounced.

Dude last year we played down to competition all year. And we have for many years in the past wtf are you talking about. Example too 2018 2019

play LSU close, should have won..then barley beat Kansas 48 50

I should have realized in 2018 and '19 that Herman was only going to take us so far. Those 2 seasons you're talking about we killed ourselves in penalties it just is in every game we lost those years. It showed that we had average talent in the lines and at lb.

Caden Stearns and Devin Duvernay are prime examples of how under developed we were at the skill positions. Look at Stearns, and Duvernay now. Lastly Bijan Robinson was the first Texas player to be drafted in the first round in 8 years.

I respect your opinions we just see it little bit differently.
