I know i have thrown out other reasons but the this was coming circa 2000-2004 if not for one tragic day. This in the minds of many democrats is the payback for the clinton witch hunt (which i agree was a witch hunt). Dub would have went through this same process had he not been dealt worse at the first of his term. The kicker is that the party was going to lose 2008 and that ain't happening here. If this ignorant exercise does anything it strengthens Trump so i don't understand the end game here. Barring removal Trump gains points as no Trumper is changing their opinion and some that don't like trump will change theirs with the obvious abuse of power taking place here.
