The riots and "cry wolf" assaults on Trump are certainly moving the "middle", right. I actually do not like the GOP establishment, but I outright despise the Democrats. I certainly do not prescribe the DNC objective to most of my liberal friends, as I think they (my friends) are good willed people who want good things for the people and overall, the USA.
I do think that tribalism has taken over and that what "our side" thinks/promotes is often taken as a given and that "the other side" is nucking futs and evil. I am as guilty of this as some - perhaps most.
With that said, the shark has been jumped. Trump is just that kind of candidate/POTUS. He is so far beyond the pale of our historical leaders that he elicits the extreme reaction from many: savior/satan.
At the end of the day, Trump will have to do what Obama couldn't: work with a divided Congress to pass legislation. I do not deem to know what will happen. He is the supposed "ultimate deal maker", so his reputation is on the line.
I just wanted to say from a conservative who is sick of the "PC" media and the last 20+ years of "establishment" politics, that I am very grateful for the over-the-top reaction from the media and the "snowflakes" for the drama that will drive political power from the place it has been to real issues and real action. The country has been divided for awhile, but the recent display of stupidity and hysteria from the far left will likely move the country from the purgatory of political correctness to truth and light and hopefully have our Republic's representatives operating from a position of reality rather than "optics".
