We knew it was a complete charade when they told us to mask just walking the 20 to 30 feet to our tables in the restaurant, then taking off the masks to eat, drink, laugh, and shout for two or three hours afterwards.

We knew it was a complete charade when they told us that cloth masks, and double-masking, and non-surgical masks don’t work and we needed instead to wear N-95s.
Fauci had it right from the get go, and was telling the unvarnished truth when he first said that non-medical masks were useless. If he, and we, had just “followed the science” all along, we would’ve never engaged in this ridiculous kabuki dance.
I did it early on, to encourage commerce and out of respect for store keepers and waiters. Going forward, of course anyone is perfectly free to wear a mask if they want, but we all know it’s just a performative charade.
