How much of last years offensive prowess was due to defenses having to account for D'Onta Foreman? He made the O-line look a lot better than they were (and still are). Foreman's rushing threat forced the safeties to stay closer to the middle of the field giving fewer opportunities to double cover our speedy receivers. That in turn made long passes by Buechele possible.

Obviously, without a substantial improvement in the running game, this offense is going nowhere.

I was thinking this yesterday. Our recievers looked really good but getting them the ball was another thing. This offense ran on D'onta. Now they have to get a lot better or sub .500 ball will be our future. We went from a NFL rb to no rb. Chris Warren should be a fullback at most.

Warren should have had more than 6 carries. He's no Foreman but the kid can wear down a defense. He averaged 5yds a carry with no help from the oline.

Warren runs too high. The D stands him up and then he is gang tackled. You will see.

Ive never been a kyle porter fan. Just dosnt seem like we have a whole lot of success with him in. I wish we had handed off to warren more and let him run down that d line of Maryland

Warren aappeared to be running in a style to avoid injury. With his history yyou cant blame him. To win games he must use his size and speed and tho o-line must open some holes.

Anyone thinking Warren can handle the wear and tear that D'Onta was subjected to.last year simply hasn't been paying attention. I'll agree that he should've been given more carries but his durability is a definite issue !

Warren definitely isn't durable and runs too high...no question. I still think you give him 20+ carries and see how he handles it. He's a load to bring down and can be explosive. He can wear down a defense in a couple of quarters, at least more so than Porter.

Warren runs high and he takes a while to hit the hole. He needs a head of steam to get rolling north and south.

Soooooo, run plays that allow him to do that. Counter trey, delayed draw, something that gives him room to get that momentum going.
