The more he excels the rest of the season the more likelihood we excel and win the CCG along with a NY6 bowl or even better a CFP semi or hell, the whole thing. In which case he is gone.
The worse he plays the less likelihood the season finishes in satisfactory fashion. In which case the odds of him returning go up.

If it’s all the same, I’m hoping for the first and not thinking of the second.
