We used to have keg parties way out in the country near the towns of Nixon and Smiley, which are only a few miles apart and have a consolidated ISD. So I'm look at places to stay near Coral Cables in S. Florida and I see on the map a "Nixon Smiley Pineland Preserve" and I'm kinda confused... what the hell does Nixon-Smiley have to do with freaking South Florida? So I Google it and find out there was some old journalist chap in S. Florida who wrote a bunch of important pieces, most notably:
