The Official Texas vs Rice Game Thread!

A lot of third & longs because we cannot run the football against Rice. Our weakness is no running game on offense & no pass defense on defense.
He looks really comfortable back there. Who knows we might need him this year. Hopefully not but just in case it’s nice to get him some snaps.
Only bringing our running game up, because I am looking ahead the Texas State Fair in Dallas, OU game. All other phases of the Texas’ game are great (except cornerbacks).
Sam has really taken another step forward this year it seems. He is using his eyes to look off safeties and really seeing the field well. We are loaded at receiver too!

I thought a lineman could block a player downfield on a pass play as long as the block was continuous engaged with the defender the entire time.

Officials will usually give the OL some leeway, but I don't believe that is stated in the rule book.
We're going to get to see a LOT of Casey Thompson in the 2nd half. That is great. We've missed ass whippings like this for a long time now
Not sure which lake you are at but anywhere within about 100miles of SA you should pick up am1200 woai.
I would love to know what Sam is reading on that zone play. It sure did look like there was a lot of real estate if he would have kept the ball.
