The SEC is gonna be fun.

If they’re not going to use the seats, then the club access and the seats should be sold separately. CDC is all about improving the game atmosphere, and this crap flies in the face of those efforts.
Hopefully CDC takes some cues from the SEC on the in game experience tips. I've been to multiple SEC venues in the last few years and all had a really fun game experience/atmosphere. All venues have something unique to them that draws in the entire crowd; there are traditions. Each stadium has a soul.

It's not just some random music played during the time outs to fill in the time. Rather, the entire crowd knows some song or some chant and the entire crowd gets into it. There's no stupid corporate check give-away on the sidelines just meant to take up space. A few examples from Fayetteville this year, which despite getting our ass kicked was one of the best in game experiences I've had in a while:
  • Lee Greenwood (God Bless the USA) was played and the entire stadium stood up, removed their hats, and sang - it was an incredibly, patriotic moment that I don't see the woke UT crowd replicating.
  • Phil Collins (In the Air) was played coming back from half time. The stadium lights were dimmed as the song came on and everyone has the lights on their cameras on. At the right moment with the drum solo, the stadium lights come on and everyone is playing air drums. Really cool. It was obvious to me that this was a tradition.
  • Student section - at each really fun SEC game, the student section is high energy the entire game.
Having a stadium that fills 100,000 is meaningless unless 100,000 partake in the in game experience. Otherwise, it's a stadium with no soul. Just my opinion.

CDC won't be allowed to do it because anything that points back to Texas roots is rayciss. The Godzillatron scoreboard blares rap music all game. It has destroyed the stadium appeal. It was the same way at TCU this past season. There was no band and rap music played 24x7. Texas has a conservative past pre 1960's but it won't be acknowledged so we get liberal corporate bloat. The SEC stadiums are CONSERVATIVE.

If we build it, they will come.

Yes, 100%.
SEC stadiums are patriotic, southern conservative (not in a bad way), traditional, and nothing corporate about them.
Uber fun.

Most of the SEC schools that have losing records still have a great game day atmosphere. At Texas we get rap, green energy, and dot races.
After November I expect nearly all of the WINOs (it's what I call the Woke in name only crowd) to magically disappear. All things football shall then return to the days of the Southwest Conference. Hook the hell outta them!

This drives me nuts! I absolutely cannot stand rap music. They're playing to the players and obviously not the fans in the stands with this garbage being played. Gimme some traditional Texas country.

Ok Cali....the votes are all in. The mighty secsecsec finished a rousing 3rd this year out of the power 5 conferences. The rank in the event you are still interested was
1. Big 12
2. Big 10
3. Secsecsec
4.ACC
5.Pac 12 ( they even counted as a loss when UCLA could not play their Bowl game)
Well yes and no. The SEC was 1/6 on ew Year's Eve but AL and GA won their playoff games and they won easily. So now they're 5/8 and tomorrow they'll be 6/9 since it's 2 SEC teams. But Baylor did beat MS in the SB.

And speaking of the Big XII we had the best overall record in bowl games this year not having a team in the playoffs doesn't change that. The Big XII is 4 for 4 in P6 bowls the last 2 years and that's great. Overall we're 10/2 the last 2 years and that's great.

The most pleasant surprise was TT and the most exciting game involving our conference was OSU. The best bowl game and the best game of the year was TN/Purdue. The second best game was Utah/tOSU the Rose Bowl always delivers.

One of the things the SEC always does great is bowl games. They always have the best record. And it does play a big part when it comes to the caliber of their conference. I want to see OSU and Baylor win their P6 bowls tomorrow. Want more proof about how bad the Pac XII is look at their bowl games every year.
I believe this was your quote....

Now you are agreeing that the Big12 had the best record....and to another of your quotes...It isnt even close.

Seriously....outside of Alabama, the SECSECSEC has in fact sucked badly over the last decade in Bowl Games.
I believe that aggy is the only secsecsec member that gets to claim a win everytime Bama is successful!

I saw this on Twitter. Wonder if this is a sign Texas is going to announce official plans soon. I’ve always felt the 2023 season was going to be when it happened.
The exit fee is 80 million regardless of timing. The GOR locked us in til 2099 or something. We have the money at this point but OU does not. At this point, OU may be the delay.
