A key member of Texas football coach Steve Sarkisian’s staff is on the shortlist of candidates to become a head coach at another university.

Texas special teams coordinator/tight ends coach Jeff Banks is a candidate to replace Washington State coach Nick Rolovich, according to multiple sources.

According to ESPN, “Washington State fired Rolovich and four other assistant coaches Monday night after they refused to comply with a mandate that required all state employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Gov. Jay Inslee had set a deadline of Monday for employees to be vaccinated or to receive an exemption and accommodations from their direct supervisors. WSU athletic director Chun on Monday said Rolovich's firing is a for-cause separation, noting that he could not meet the requirements in his contract, which paid him $3 million annually. Therefore, Rolovich will not continue to be paid by the school.”

As a result of Rolovich’s departure, Banks is currently on the shortlist of candidates being considered for the job.

We learned if Banks is poached from Sarkisian’s staff, special teams analyst Jeff Crosby could be a temporary replacement.

Our sources behind the scenes are aware of Washington State’s interest in Banks. However, Washington State’s timetable to announce a new coach remains unclear.Banks was a two-time all-conference punter for Washington State, posting a 42.8-yard average as a junior and 43.4-yard average as a senior, according to his bio. In his final season, he led the Pac-10 and was No. 15 nationally while helping the Cougars go 10-2 and earn an invitation to the Rose Bowl. He was selected to participate in the Senior Bowl that year.

If Banks did leave Texas for Washington State, a name to keep an eye on is former Kansas football coach David Beaty. The former head coach recently had a violation against him withdrawn as part of KU’s NCAA infractions case, the Independent Accountability Review Process said in a recent letter to Beaty. Some programs were hesitant to hire Beaty while he was under investigation, but he no longer has the speculation of wrongdoing hanging over his head. Beaty has strong ties to high school programs throughout the state and does not have a buyout. We will keep you posted.

(From Alex Dunlap)

As we come into the bye week, it's worthwhile to assess where Texas stands from the 30,000-foot view. It only makes sense to start thinking about how what we've seen out of Steve Sarkisian's iteration of the Longhorns fits into not only the landscape of Big 12, but perhaps more importantly, into the program's future home in the SEC. Whether that move comes in 2022, 2023 or 2024, it's coming eventually.

On today's Modcast, there was discussion of how Texas matches up versus future SEC opponents in the all-important trenches, given that the offensive (and to a lesser degree) defensive lines have not been strengths of the 2021 Longhorns program. @Ketchum asked that I put together a quick "audit" of where the big boys in the trenches stand as units coming into the 2021 bye week, and where we go from here.

I discussed this week in both the offensive and defensive version of the Deep Dig what to expect moving forward in 2021 with the offensive and defensive lines from a personnel-perspective for the remainder of the 2021 season -- but what about when we zoom out and look big-picture? Is this roster even ready to play Arkansas-level opponents week-in and week-out as run-of-the-mill competition or are things going to have to change?

Let's start on the defense, because it's an easier discussion.

(As for 2021 snap count numbers, please be advised that some players play at other positions besides their primary alignment, hence the total for the JACK end, for example, will not equal out to an even 100%).

INTERIOR DL (tackles and nose guards)

2021 Contributors:
DT Moro Ojomo (JR) 234 snaps (49.37% overall participant)

NT Keondre Coburn (JR) 213 snaps ( 44.94% overall participant)

NT T'Vondre Sweat (JR) 163 snaps (34.39% overall participant)

NT Byron Murphy (FR) 114 snaps (24.05% overall participant)

DT Vernon Broughton (RS FR) 95 snaps (20.04% overall participant)

DT Myron Warren (SO) 21 snaps (4.43% overall participant)

DT Sawyer Gorham-Welch (RS FR) 20 snaps (4.22% overall participant)

On the roster:

Jordon Thomas (FR) - will redshirt (and could also be a candidate to play at JACK end, but already weighs 273 pounds and projects for now to play inside)

2022 commitments so far:

Jaray Bledsoe (4-star)
Justice Finkley (4-star)
Kristopher Ross (3-star)
Aaron Bryant (3-star)

ENDS/Edge-rushers

JACK END (strong-side defensive end)

2021 Contributors:

DE Jacoby Jones (SR) 190 snaps (40.08% overall participant)

DE Alfred Collins (SO) 170 snaps (35.86% overall participant)

EDGE Jett Bush (JR) 111 snaps (23.42% overall participant)

DE Barryn Sorrell (FR) 80 snaps (16.88% overall participant)

BUCK END (weak-side defensive end/LB hybrid/edge-rusher)

2021 Contributors:
EDGE Ray Thornton (SR) 271 snaps (57.17% overall participant)

EDGE Ovie Oghuofo (JR) 255 snaps (53.80% overall participant)

EDGE DJ Harris Jr. (FR) 13 snaps (2.74% overall participant)

EDGE Prince Dorbah (RS FR) 10 snaps (2.11% overall participant)

On the roster:

David Abiarra (FR) - will redshirt

2022 commitments so far:
J'Mond Tapp (4-star)
Zac Swanson (4-star)
Derrick Brown (3-star)
Anthony Jones (3-star)

BOTTOM LINE: The Texas defensive line has underwhelmed in 2021 given expectations coming in, but the personnel is relatively young in the interior of the DL and brimming with size and talent.

The biggest focus moving forward should be recruiting more big bodies for the interior (you can never have enough) and finding that one pass-rush unicorn that Texas has not had since Joseph Ossai.

Given the number of arrows Texas has in the quiver to target this kind of player and then play the numbers, fans should not be worried about some sort of pass-rush demon emerging in the next year or so. I'm not going to get started on Ja'Tavion Sanders, but eventually, someone close to him might want to have a conversation about the possibility of moving from TE to edge-rusher at the BUCK end. Given his potential, the only real glaring, immediate need among this group (a bonafide edge-rush stud) -- for both the long and near-term to boot -- could be addressed instantly.

OFFENSIVE LINE

2021 Contributors

C Jake Majors (RSFR) - 423 snaps
OT Derek Kerstetter (Super SR) - 420 snaps
OG Junior Angilau (JR) - 413 snaps
OT Christian Jones (JR) - 407 snaps
OG Denzel Okafor (Super SR) - 245 snaps
OT Andrej Karic (RSFR) - 178 snaps
OG Tope Imade (Super SR) - 89 snaps
OT Hayden Conner (FR) - 60 snaps
C Logan Parr (RSFR) - 34 snaps
OT Jaylen Garth (RSFR) - 21 snaps
OG/OT Isaiah Hookfin (SO) - 13 snaps

On the roster:

OG/OT Tyler Johnson (SO)
C Rafiti Ghirmai (JR)
OT Max Merrill (FR) will redshirt

2022 commitments so far:

C/OG Cole Hutson (4-star)
OG Connor Robertson (3-star)

BOTTOM LINE: This unit is not built to even be a team strength before losing Kerstetter to graduation. He's not the highest-upside player on the line, but he's arguably the most dependable for 2021. Junior Angilau becomes a viable and strong option to become the Texas OL's centerpiece coming into 2022.

With a good few of the others on the roster, a bull case can be made, most especially for Karic and Conner as young, developing pieces who are getting baptized by fire this season thanks to Denzel Okafor's season-ending injury. The fact is that a solid starting five among any of the players listed for RIGHT NOW is worrisome, though, and what makes it more worrisome is that the depth on hand looking forward is speculative at best ... and inarguably thin even so.

To play in the SEC, you have to at least match up to the median-type of defensive lines you will face and, with the Arkansas game earlier this season as a good barometer of what it may look like to face a run-of-the-mill SEC opponent, there is no doubt that Texas needs to up its recruiting along the OL and make it the No.1, No.2 and No.3 priorities -- starting in 2022. By the time the 2023 cycle hits, Texas cannot find itself in this same limbo.

Among returning players for 2022, the only one you don't have to squint to make a bull case for is Junior Angilau, as mentioned. Texas will need surprise, Sam-Cosmi-year-two-like emergences from a player or two in the immediate term to field an offensive line that will not come into October of 2022, as the 2021 iteration has, yielding more questions than answers.

Neto Umeozulu, Earnest Greene and Malik Agbo are 2022 targets who've re-emerged as real possibilities through the start of the 2021 season. All would serve as terrific building-block pieces around a line class already currently consisting of only Hutson and Robertson. Hopefully, of course, to complement the most important piece of the 2022 recruiting puzzle in absolute stud and instant starter and high-level contributor Devon Campbell.

All roads lead to Campbell to get this thing kick-started.

Thankfully, Jeff Banks continues to be on the phone with Campbell every day doing his best to make sure the big man keeps the light on for the Horns as Campbell narrows down his options on the road to National Signing Day.

Either way, it will definitely take a transfer-portal or surprise addition (heck, maybe two) in the mold of previous years' Calvin Andersons or Parker Brauns, along with the emergence of a Tyler Johnson-type of existing depth to get the Texas OL up and running for 2022 in a manner that would resemble a competent, SEC-style set of big boys up front.

But, that's why Sark brought some of the best recruiters in the nation to Austin, right?

*****

Johntay Cook is one of the top 2023 prospects that Steve Sarkisian and his staff have made a priority. The DeSoto wide receiver is an electric playmaking weapon that can score from just about anywhere on the football field. Sark has prioritized Cook since taking over in Austin back in January.

As we have covered here at OB, one of the biggest pitches that Texas is selling Cook on is teaming up with the likes of Arch Manning, Evan Stewart, Rueben Owens, and Xavier Worthy. That pitch, obviously, can fall apart if Manning, Stewart, or Owens opts to go elsewhere, but Cook is certainly intrigued about the possibility of teaming up on the 40 Acres.

“That's the plan that coach Sark wants. Coach Sark wants to get Evan, wants to get Arch, and he wants to get me. He wants to get Rueben,” Cook told OB last week. “We all down there at the same time, don’t know what’ll happen.”

Texas is in a great spot to land the DeSoto star playmaker. He speaks highly of how Sark uses Xavier Worthy and mentioned that Sark’s offense is going to be “scary” when the right playmakers are in it. Additionally, Cook has a close relationship with Manning, and the two spent some together in Austin last weekend.

Cook is planning on releasing a top-5 at the end of the season. I certainly expect Texas to be among the finalists with Alabama and Texas A&M as other serious contenders as well.

Moving to the 2024 class, Texas recently became the first to offer 2024 John Tyler standout Derrick McFall. McFall is a do-it-all stud for the Lions, taking snaps all over the field and playing a major role in Tyler’s strong start to the season.

In talking to McFall, he is very aware of what Sark accomplished at Alabama. Similar to other prospects that I have spoken with, McFall is impressed with how Sark puts his best players in the best positions to succeed. The sophomore made his first trip down to Austin last weekend, to which he said he had a “wonderful time”.

McFall did say that Alabama is the school that he has grown up a fan of – which is a big reason why he is familiar with Sark and some of the Texas staff. Mississippi State and Oklahoma State are two other programs that have McFall on their radar.

I certainly expect more offers to roll in by the time that his sophomore season concludes. Texas was smart to offer and get a jumpstart, so to speak, in his recruitment.

On the Jaydon Blue front, things have been a little quiet after there was thought to be some resolution today. As of right now, the Klein Cain running back is still in the Longhorns’ class and is a player that Texas would love to hang on to.

If things were to go south with Blue, Newton running back DeAnthony Gatson and Lake Charles College Prep (La.) standout TreVonte’ Citizen would potentially be two names to watch.

Gatson is a former USC commit that recently backed off his pledge to the Trojans with all of the uncertainty in Los Angeles. Citizen is a one-time Alabama pledge that has interest from LSU and the SEC. Multiple sources believe Citizen will stay close to home when it is all said and done, but he is someone that the Longhorns have recruited.

Texas is fortunate to have a deep and talented running back room. Aside from Bijan Robinson, the Longhorns signed Jonathon Brooks in last year’s class and added Alabama transfer Keilan Robinson through the portal. Tyler Legacy star Jamarion Miller is a part of this year’s class, and it is very easy to be excited about the Rivals250 4-star from East Texas.

Right now, though, the focus is of course keeping Jaydon Blue in the boat.

Here's a snapshot of the top in-state 2023 prospects based on the current Rivals rankings.

1. David Hicks Jr. - DE - Allen

Has Texas Offered: YES

Total Offers: (27) Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Texas A&M (among many others)

Things to Know: Hicks hit the road this summer with visits to Florida, Miami, Oklahoma, Ohio State, LSU, Alabama and Texas (at a minimum) and is very open to all of the big-timers that are in pursuit. That being said, A&M is a school he has mentioned as a standout in the last month, along with. the Longhorns, OU, LSU and Ohio State.

Key Quote: From this summer on Rivals "I wouldn't mind going away from Texas, but if I go away from home I want it to be somewhere that feels like home."

2. Javien Toviano - DB - Arlington Martin

Has Texas Offered: Yes

Total Offers: (22) Arkansas, Baylor, Ole Miss, Oklahoma and Texas A&M (among others)

Things to Know: The Longhorns appeared to be the obvious front-runner for Toviano at the beginning of the summer, but by the end of August he was listing Oklahoma, Oregon, Alabama and Michigan as a top four. It's been pretty quiet on the recruiting front for the sensational young cornerback, but the Longhorns have a lot of work to do to reclaim the position it had only a few months ago.

Key Quotes: (from this summer on OB) "It was different. It’s a different vibe, a different culture,” Toviano said. “You can tell, just being here in Austin is different. It’s the epitome of Texas football. It’s the brand and it (was) amazing to be out here.

“They said I’m a priority. They told me to just come in here and I can change the defense,” Toviano said. “Just hearing that, that instills something in the back of my mind to stay here.”

3. T.J. Shanahan - OL - Austin Westlake

Has Texas Offered: Yes

Total Offers: (43) Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Stanford and Texas A&M

Things to Know: Shanahan moved to Austin this summer and it a potential godsend for the Longhorns, who will likely have him at the very top of their needs list in the 2023 recruiting class. Shanahan raved about the Longhorns in a conversation with Rivals this week and it's obvious that the new hometown Longhorns will be in the mix. A lot of the momentum for the Longhorns will be connected to the momentum that the program is able to keep in general, as he wants to see how the team finishes the season.

4. Jordan Renaud - DL - Tyler Legacy

Has Texas Offered: Yes

Total Offers: (23) Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Florida State, Miami, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas A&M (among others)

Things to Know: It's probably too early to call anyone a definitive leader because Renaud has his eyes on inspecting a host of regional and national powers before making a decision.

5. Jalen Hale - WR - Longview

Has Texas Offered: YES

Total Offers: (34) Alabama, Arkansas, Baylor, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Texas A&M (among others)

Things to Know: Hale was on the 40 Acres this weekend for the Oklahoma State game on an unofficial visit and the potential addition of Arch Manning would go a long way in luring the nation's No.28 prospect in the country. Oklahoma remains the betting favorite, but the Longhorns continue to remain in serious consideration.

Key Quote: From Rivals on 5/4: "I stay in touch wit the Oklahoma staff the most. It’s Coach Cale (Gundy) and Coach (Lincoln) Riley,” Hale said of the Sooners. “They have been saying I’d fit in the offense well … They’re both cool coaches. They’re funny, like father figures and they’re good coaches. Coach Gundy, he’s just an energetic person.”

6. Anthony Hill - LB - Denton Ryan

Has Texas Offered: Yes

Total Offers: (20) Baylor, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and USC (among others)

Things to Know: Hill took unofficial visits to Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Alabama and TCU this summer and continues to list the Longhorns at the top of any early leaderboard. In fact, Hill raved about the atmosphere at Texas in a conversation with Rivals this week.

7. Reuben Owens - RB - El Campo

Has Texas Offered: Yes

Total Offers: (29) Alabama, Baylor, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and USC (among others)

Things to Know: His recruitment has a long way to go, but Texas A&M is the betting favorite. The good news is that the Longhorns haven't fallen off the map since his de-commitment. The bad news is that it feels like the Longhorns need to land Arch Manning to really surge in his recruitment at this point.

8. Ryan Yaites - CB - Denton Guyer

Has Texas Offered: Yes

Total Offers: (17) Arkansas, Baylor, Ole Miss, Oklahoma and Texas A&M (among others)

Things to Know: Texas has been among the top schools for Yaites for a while now. The 2023 four-star prospect was most recently on the UT campus at the end of July for the Longhorns’ BBQ and pool party event. He told OB after the event that it was one of his best visits and that he really hit it off with Gideon and the Texas staff. Notre Dame, Ole Miss, and TCU are a few other programs that are pushing for Yaites hard. Yaites has visited all three of those campuses and is planning on making a return visit to Notre Dame for the North Carolina game with Bowen and some other Guyer teammates.

9. Dalton Brooks - Ath - Shiner

Has Texas Offered: Yes

Total Offers: (20) Arkansas, Baylor, Ole Miss, Oklahoma and Texas A&M (among others)

Things to Know: Brooks really likes the Longhorns, but A&M is definitely in the mix, as is Alabama, LSU and USC. Texas defensive backs coach Blake Gideon has done a very good job of building a relationship with Brooks since he arrived back in Austin.

Key quote: (From Rivals in March) “In Shiner, it’s A&M … It’s A&M central,” he laughed. “It’s all it is here, so I want to go up there and come back and see what everybody is talking about.”

10. Johntay Cook - WR - Desoto

Has Texas Offered: YES

Total Offers: (33) Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Texas A&M (among many others)

Things to Know: Look at the quotes below. It kind of says everything.

Key Quotes to OB this week: "I've been to Texas -- what -- four times? So, there's really nothing else I need to see.

“That's the plan that Coach Sark wants. Coach Sark wants to get Evan, wants to get Arch, and he wants to get me. He wants to get Rueben,” Cook said. “We all down there at the same time, don’t know what’ll happen.”

11. Jaquaize Pettaway - WR - Langham Creek

Has Texas Offered: YES

Total Offers: (17) Arkansas, Baylor, LSU, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Texas A&M and USC (among others)

Things to Know: Alabama and Texas A&M were able to get him on campus in June, but the Longhorns have made up a lot of ground and appear to have slotted themselves into a top three with A&M and Alabama. .

Key Quotes to Rivals this week: "I recently have been to any, but I plan to go to some whenever I have a free chance to. I've been busy with school and practice and all that, but I plan to go to Texas, to A&M, to 'Bama ... I want to go to as many as I can get to."

"(Texas) have been shwoing me much love. They have great guys over there. They're one of the main ones showing me love and I can't say anything but good things about htem. They're all cool to me, they're cool people who show nothing but love, nothing but love for me. I talk to Coach (Andre) Coleman and Coach Sark. I talk to the whole staff, to the OC (Kyle Flood), all of them ... I ask them about academics, what I can major in, the atmosphere and the energy."

12. Braylon James - WR - Del Valle

Has Texas Offered: Yes

Total Offers: (34) Florida, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State., Stanford, Texas A&M and USC

Things to Know: The Longhorns and LSU might be co-leaders at this point, although he's looking at a lot of schools from coast to coast.

Key Quotes: to Rivals in September: "It was different. I wish I could’ve took a visit there earlier in the summer but I was one of the first recruits to check out the new facilities. They are definitely doing a great job in my recruitment right now. Me and Coach (Andre) Coleman have been building up a really good relationship this past month so that’s huge."

13. Deldrick Madison -CB - Duncanville

Has Texas Offered: Yes

Total Offers: (14) Arkansas, Baylor, Ole Miss, Oklahoma and Texas A&M (among others)

Things to Know: Madison has kept a low recruiting profile in recent months, but he visited the Longhorns during the summer and the Texas staff feels good about its current position.

14. Peyton Bowen -CB - Denton Guyer

Has Texas Offered: Yes

Total Offers: (21) Arkansas, Baylor, Ole Miss, Oklahoma and Texas A&M (among others)

Things to Know: Texas is one of several programs that have offered Bowen. Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, TCU, and USC are just a handful of others that are involved in the four-star’s recruitment. Safeties coach Blake Gideon is handling his recruitment for the Longhorns.

15. Harris Sewell - OL - Odessa Permian

Has Texas Offered: Yes

Total Offers: (19) Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, LSU, Notre Dame and Texas A&M

Things to Know: Sewell hit the road in June, making unofficial visits to Alabama, Notre Dame, TCU, LSU, Texas A&M, Texas and Texas Tech, and the visits have continues this season, as he recently took in Texas A&M's win over Alabama. The Longhorns are among a host of teams squarely in the mix for Sewell, but his recruitment is still taking its form.

(Womack)

Our own Serenity Douglas interviewed incoming basketball transfer Dylan Disu this week about a variety of topics. Here are some of the excerpts.

SD: Which teammate has surprised you the most in practice from a skill standpoint?

DD: Definitely Jaylon Tyson, a freshman from Dallas. We knew he was good coming in, but I think he’s extremely skilled for his size. He’s 6’6 but plays like a guard. He has a chance to be really good and play at the next level for sure.

SD: Who was your favorite Texas men’s basketball player growing up?

DD: Growing up, my favorite was AJ Abrams. He could shoot really well, and he always came to mind when thinking about Texas basketball...He also played in the same district that I did [in Austin].

SD: What have you enjoyed the most about your new team so far?

DD: We all live together in the same building, so the camaraderie is great.

SD: What’s the hardest foul you’ve ever committed, and the hardest foul you’ve ever received?

DD: My freshman year, I went to go block a shot, and he pump-faked, then ducked, and so I jumped on top of him and he went to the ground. He was fine, though. He’s playing in the NBA now, so I think he’s good. Hardest foul I ever received? It was in practice last year, and this other guy flew up to grab a rebound, and elbowed me in the face...it was a problem afterwards. I wasn’t happy about it, to say the least. I had a black eye.

SD: Which guard couldn’t handle you one-on-one?

DD: Baby Dev [Devin Askew]. I played him at Kentucky last year, and I dropped 29 and 16 on their heads.

SD: Would you prefer getting dunked on, or being crossed up?

DD: If I fell while getting dunked on, then I’d definitely rather get crossed. Because getting dunked on, it’s SportsCenter top 10 play. But if you fall, it can fly under the radar. If you get dunked on, it gets remembered for a long, long time.

SD: Besides Rupp Arena, what venues in the SEC would you consider the toughest to play in, and why?

DD: My freshman year, we went to Auburn, and they were no. four in the country at the time. That was my first SEC game ever. It was so loud in that arena...it was crazy. It was so loud in that arena, that three hours after the game, I got in bed and my ears were still ringing. That was a tough place to play in. My favorite arena from a looks standpoint was Tennessee’s arena, because it looks like an NBA arena. It’s top-tier for sure.

SD: The other UT?

DD: The fake UT.

SD: Thoughts on UT playing basketball in the SEC soon?

DD: I think it’ll be interesting. I don’t know if it’ll be harder, because I played in the SEC and it’s nothing Texas can’t handle. It’s different from football, because the SEC runs football, but it’ll definitely be even for basketball...it’ll be fun to play A&M again.

SD: Whose workouts are more difficult, your dad’s or John Reilly’s?

DD: My parents used to own a crossfit gym. It depends on the type of workout. If it’s a crossfit workout, I could say they would be harder than John Reilly’s. But if it’s just weights, then John Reilly has it because his weights are crazy. Whenever I first started working out with him, I was dying. He does a lot of reps, and a lot of rounds. So you’re really sore.

Recruiting update oct 21 2021

DILLON MITCHELL

This weekend, four-star F Dillon Mitchell went to Austin, and was very impressed by the visit. He said he intends to sign in the early period before Nov. 10th. Though Florida State is still considered the favorite by some, this visit definitely moved the needle in Texas’ direction. According to Coach Sharp, he loved it, and his mom “especially” loved it. He felt very comfortable around the coaching staff and loved their vision for him, and practice impressed him. More to come on Mitchell in the next few days - trying to set up a call with him directly. Thanks to Coach Derrick Sharp for the information. I feel good about this one.

JARACE WALKER

Five-star F Jarace Walker visited this weekend as well. However, according to my sources, he’s picking between Alabama and U of H, with Alabama as the lead after the recent commitment of Jaden Bradley. Look for him to commit to the Crimson Tide.

CASON WALLACE

Five-star G Cason Wallace commits Nov. 7th. Kentucky is still the favorite.

SAM MURRAY

https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2022/sam-murray-274785

Coach Ulric Maligi is recruiting three-star F Sam Murray from Gulfport, MS, who is also considering Baylor and Mississippi State.
