Here's a look at a few Tweets made prior to the game to help set the mood.





After a couple of punts, the Cyclones struck first with a field goal on a drive that ended with true freshman linebacker Jeffrey McCulloch and true freshman defensive end Malcolm Roach combining for a third-down sack.






The Cyclones extended its lead to 6-0 after a D'Onta Foreman fumble set the Cyclones up in Texas territory.







Midway through the second quarter, you could sense the restlessness building online.








In the final seconds of the second quarter, the Longhorns settled for a field goal after calling a fade route on third and three inside the five-yard line.







One play after an Armanti Foreman touchdown was wiped off the board with a face-mask penalty, Shane Buechele hit a wide-open Jerrod Heard for a 37-yard touchdown to give Texas a 10-6 lead.






Moments after Texas got a big fourth-down stop, Buechele hit Devin Duvernay for a 75-yard touchdown reception.









To put an exclamation mark on the third quarter, D'Onta Foreman scored on an 18-yard touchdown run to give the Longhorns a 24-6 lead.









After a final goal-line stand, the Longhorns walk off the field with a 24-6 win.
