In my opinion, Charlie Strong has a misguided belief that quitting somehow makes him less of a man and a poor representative for black coaches. I would argue that sometimes quitting and starting over is the best solution for everybody. Charlie is definitely miserable. I imagine, if he were to quit, he would feel some serious relief if he let himself.

The freakonomics guys have a whole segment on quitting that is quite interesting.
