I find myself realizing that all of the posturing, arguing, anger, etc. is just stupid. (The "protests" yesterday started me on this path)
The reality is, anyone these days (no matter the country) that is an elected official is a mostly self-serving greedy POS's. It's human nature to preserve oneself, so can we really be surprised if an elected individual is serving self-interests? At some point, we (meaning the general public) need to quit getting our "panties in a wad" and realize that the goal of any government is fear and chaos which leads to control. It's always the same BS one side selling fear, the other side selling security from that fear. It shifts back and forth as to whomever is in power...
The US, Europe, etc. need to wake the F up and realize no one above you in government gives a rats about you and what you think and/or your family situation. They want your vote that's it... and they play to your vote based on what I said above.
So... if you are a Democrat and you support the fear BS they are selling now, you are an idiot. If you are a Republican and you are supporting/buying the "security" that they are selling you are an idiot as well.
Be a Libertarian... stop arguing with your fellow American and realize that none of us are oppressed, we are just too stupid to realize that we have it great as long as we mind our own business and take care of ourselves.
The Government should exist for 3 reasons. 1) Protection 2) Infrastructure 3) Stability in the Justice System and Financial Markets.
That's it, everything else is on our own. Stop being idiots... get along with each other and quit giving more power to elected officials. It's beyond me why so many people these days pledge more allegiance to party than to country, to hate over unity, and to feelings over facts. It's sickening, and the hate towards one another is a recipe for disaster. Quit being so damn emotional about stuff... stop hating TRUMP so much it blinds you from actual facts. Stop obsessing over TRUMP so much that you think he's the 2nd coming of Christ. Full disclosure, I voted for him because he was the best of 2 terrible candidates. Realize that for us to succeed, we have to have community. To have community you must have kindness and respect for different views...
