Up until recently, by "collusion," democrats and the media generally meant that the Trump campaign had conspired with Russians to meddle in the election for Trump's benefit.
That notion has been turned on its head.
Now, the idea is rapidly taking hold that Trump is a Russian asset and has wittingly or unwittingly been working with Putin to undermine the interests of the United States, through his alleged attacks on NATO, his resistance to sanctions, and his cow-towing to Putin publicly.
Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va., said on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday that whether Trump ever worked on behalf of Moscow is “the defining question” of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence’s investigation.
The New York Times and the Washington Post are leading the way with their stories on the FBI investigation and the supposed confiscation of Trump's interpreters' notes.
